FAV SKIN PREP REVIEW

You know a product works for you when you finish it up and have backups ready! During my trip to Korea in October, I was introduced to the Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Mist and the TONYMOLY Bio Ex The Cell Toning Peeling Gel. They have been staples in my daily skincare ever since and I was contemplating where and how I could repurchase them.

As I was exploring Koreatown in Dallas, I was pleasantly surprised to see both brand stores and both products. Seriously, I ❤️ Dallas so much! These are both light, gentle, and effective for all skintypes, and I think you’ll love these guys as much as I do! Below are my reviews.

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Mist

This is an essence that I have been using after my cleansing and toning for the past eight months, and my skin has loved it! I did some research on spray (aka super convenient) essences and this one had great reviews. It is friendlier in price but just as refreshing and lightweight as the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. I don’t intentionally look for dupes, but this is a good one! It replaces my SK-II for sure.

I use like 5 sprays per application before my serum and moisturizer. It’s a little much, but that’s how I like it, and that’s how I recommend it to get maximum benefit and hydration. TONYMOLY Bio Ex The Cell Toning Peeling Gel

The sales rep in Korea (bribed me with a sweet potato) tried it on my hand in store and told me I HAD to buy this. She told me to use it on a cleansed face and tissue off the dead skin cells before applying the rest of my skincare. Personally, I cotton cleanse my face with micellar water first and then follow up with this peel before heading into the shower to rinse it off. It makes your skin so smooth and super squeaky clean. 👌🏻

This peeling gel has a watery gel like texture that also claims to brighten, but I haven’t really noticed any extra brightening. I just really appreciate the smooth and gentle exfoliation. Traditional granule exfoliators are a thing of the past in my opinion, so this is most welcome into my routine. I even tried this peel over a face of makeup (avoiding the eyes), and it worked like a charm! Just overall the best exfoliator I’ve tried to date. I love this guy so much and highly recommend it.

I tried locating it online in the states, but it seems to only be readily available in Korea for the most part. Here’s a link if you know Korean and are comfortable ordering from overseas. Here is the link to the Korean site 👉🏻 TONYMOLY Bio Ex The Cell Toning Peeling Gel.

I’ve also tried the TONYMOLY Floria Brightening Peeling Gel, and it’s just as effective and smooth. I can’t tell which one I like better, which I think isn’t a bad thing. 🥰 Here’s a link for it 👉🏻 TONYMOLY Floria Brightening Peeling Gel.

Missha Pposong Hair Dry Tissue

I never heard of such a thing but thought I’d leave a review since a dry shampoo towelette is new to me. Pposong means dry and smooth in Korean, and this towelette does the opposite for your hair. Avoid it. The towelette gets your hair wet at first, and when the product dries, it makes your hair look greasier. No. Just. No. 😖

Celavi Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes

I don’t generally use makeup wipes, and I usually double cleanse with an oil cleanser followed by a gentle foam cleanser. I get a little lazy while traveling, so I picked these up at the local Dallas HMart and they are ok. They have a very light honey-sweet scent and leave your skin moisturized as promised (on the packaging). Nothing to write home about, but since it was in the pic, I thought I’d share. If you have super dry skin, this is something I would recommend. 😊
